Screencasts

I had seen screencasts before, but I had never actually created one myself.  In doing so, I used Screen-O-Matic which is a free tool that you can find Online.  I decided to watch a couple of  tutorials first because I was somewhat uncertain about being able to do this assignment successfully.  But after I practiced a little, I found that it was fairly easy to use.  You are able to record, pause, reset what you want to capture, and start recording again.  You can also go back and add things or start over again if you want.  

I can see using this tool in the library.  I can record a lesson and play it for each class instead of repeating myself the same thing class after class.  For this assignment, for example, I decided to do a screencast on using our Online Catalog for a book search.  I wanted to highlight using the "Visual" tab available on Destiny.  Here's my first screencast:
